BUDGET

One of the biggest factors when it comes to renovations, is of course, budget. You should try to stick with your planned budget as much as possible as there are other costs that you have to factor in which is typically not included in renovation packages and quotations - such as aircon, electrical, electrical appliances, sanitary, lighting /ceiling fans and soft furnishing works.

Be practical and look for your essential needs rather than the latest trends which may not necessarily be as practical.

It's important to make time to meet up with a few IDs to discuss about your requirements, as it is a part of the renovation process that you should go through before finally choosing the ID that understands your design and needs.

The right designer will understand your needs and wants, and plan accordingly after the discussion. Make sure that you have a good chemistry with the designer where you are able to have an openly communication.

Also remember to make sure that you do check the design firm's background. A good track record and reviews is crucial if you want to ensure that your project will go smoothly with the right guidance and correct information.
